On 19th June 2007, Quadrant switched the electricity supply at it's Kent operations centre to EDF Energy's Green Tarriff. As a Green Tarriff customer EDF Energy pledges to match the electricity we use with the equivalent amount of electricity from renewable sources; wind, landfill gas and small scale hydro. The additional premium we pay for green electricity is matched by EDF Energy and is paid into the Green Energy Fund who use it to invest in the installation of renewable generation for community based and educational projects; such as solar panels for a school roof. EDF pay all administration costs, so every penny we pay goes to support renewable energy projects.
